The Clover Park School District has many procedures in place to ensure the safety of students, staff and visitors. The district has a District Emergency Response Plan that is in effect at every school and department. This plan may be viewed in the Operations Office. For more information on this plan, call 583-5482.
The district partners with the Lakewood Police Department to provide uniformed officers in Clover Park Schools. These officers serve as a resource to school personnel, parents and the surrounding neighborhoods to provide a safe learning environment for our students.
Many district employees have CPR training as a necessary component of their job duties. The district offers classes on a regular basis at no cost for these employees. Staff members also receive yearly harassment awareness training. Harassment of any kind is not tolerated in the Clover Park School District.
The Clover Park School District Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) Plan is located in the District Maintenance Office and can be viewed by the public at any time.
At the beginning of each school year, student insurance forms are sent home to the parents. This insurance gives parents the option of purchasing additional insurance for their children for any injuries that occur at school.
If a student is injured on school property, a student accident form is filled out, signed by the principal, and a copy of the form is sent to the Operations office to be filed. If a parent wishes to see this report, they should call the Operations Office at 583-5480.
If an employee is injured during the course of the school day, there are two forms that may be filled out.
- No Doctor, No Hospital. This form should be filled out if an employee gets injured and the injury is not serious enough to warrant a trip to their doctor. The form is filed and the employee has a year and a day to go to their doctor if the injury warrants it.
- Self-Insured Accident Form. When an employee is injured at work and must go see their doctor, there is a packet of forms that must be filled out and sent in to the Operations office within five days of the employee's doctor visit. This packet is available from any school or department office.
Clover Park School District recognizes that school buildings are community facilities that should be used to their maximum potential for the benefit of all community members. Buildings of the district include: Student Services Center, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and other contracted facilities in the community.
The use of district facilities is under the management of the administrator for each facility. Final approval is the responsibility of the Recreation/Facilities Supervisor and should be obtained at least seven working days prior to the event. Click to obtain facility use guidelines.

Recreation - Pools
The Clover Park School District operates two swimming pools; one at Clover Park High School and the other at Lakes High School. The Clover Park pool is open to the community for public swims, lap swims, water aerobics, swim lessons and pool parties. The Lakes pool is used for on-going rental groups (i.e., swim club, kayaking, scuba). For more information on our swimming activities, please call 583-5542.
