Applications for the free and reduced lunch/breakfast program are available at all school offices or lunch rooms. You may apply at anytime during the school year. Be sure to sign the form and include all members of your household, and turn the form in to your school. Your application is completely confidential and will be processed within 10 working days. Please call the food service office if you have questions. Only one application per household is needed.
An application (one per household) must be completed each year (or if a student transfers into this district from another district) by the parent/guardian living in household one--the student's primary residence. You may apply or re-apply at any time during the school year.
United States Department of Agriculture Child Nutrition Program Income Guidelines
July 1, 2017 - June 30, 2018
The income guidelins for July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018 are provided for your assistance in correctly approving free and reduced-price meal applicaitons.
The Clover Park School District participates in the USDA National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs. We maintain confidentiality in classrooms and lunchrooms. All students (free, reduced, and/or full/regular price) use a PIN number (the student’s ID number) to access their account. It is important that students do not share their number (access to their meal account) with others. School meals meet USDA nutritional goals and dietary guidelines; the district's participation in the USDA National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs can entitle qualified students to receive free or reduced-price school meals.
Thanks to the federal Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, many schools across the country are now able to provide free breakfast and lunch to ALL students without requiring applications to the Free and Reduced Lunch program!
The program is referred to as the Community Eligibility Provision, or CEP. To qualify for the CEP, schools must meet certain federal criteria. In Clover Park School District, seven schools qualify:
This means that all students at these seven schools will receive free breakfast and lunch. Students will still need to provide their ID number in the cafeteria for tracking purposes. Students who bring their own lunch and wish to purchase milk (or other a la carte items) will still need to pay for their milk.
