School Construction Project

Four Heroes Elementary School

About the history of the project

The Oakwood/Southgate Elementary School project provides an opportunity to address two aging schools while addressing the Joint Base Lewis McChord air corridor concerns. The project calls for analyzing demographics over the next 20 years to determine growth and consolidation opportunities as well as realignment of school boundaries.  The demographic study is complete and a district team will analyze “what if” scenarios related to location, taking into account the expanding train activity information as provided by the state’s Department of Transportation.
